That’s right, now that we have all agreed to complete the London to Paris bike ride in September this year it’s now time to do some serious training andĀ preparationĀ and actually complete this challenge.

This blog has been set up by one of the team for all of us to report on our progress through training and of course through the cycle trip itself. Expect many random posts, comments and pictures and videos as we put ourselves through hell to complete this trip is just under 4 months time!

Of course, please feel free to add you own thoughts and comments about our cycle challenge or anything about this website …. we’re gonna need all the support we can get :)

Alas I’m one of the people that agreed to this, partly because I was searching for a challenge but mainly due to me being stupid!

Decisions made on the back of several alcoholic beverages are never the best but this one should encourage me never to drink again!

To be fair though, I’m looking forward to it, for too long now I have watched and listened to other people’s experiences of doing something like this and thought to myself I’m going to do that, but never have actually got the motivation to do it, but here i am, starting to train for a 200 odd mile bike ride, having never done anything like this before..

The first week has been tiring, and I’m no where near the level I need to be, but it should be ok if I continue and gradually up the pressure on myself… but already I realise that saddle sores will become an issue!!

Alcohol has a lot to answer for.. and you have to be even more careful if you couple that with friends that can sell ice to eskimos….
